4.同位语从句的虚拟语气
作名词suggestion, order, proposal, idea, plan等的同位语从句中用虚拟语气，其谓语动词的形式为
should+动词原形，其中should可以省略。
例如： We all agreed to his suggestion that we (should) go to Shanghai for sightseeing.
我们都同意他的意见，去上海北京观光。

第三节 特殊虚拟条件句

1.含蓄虚拟条件句

定义：将虚拟条件暗含在短语或上下文中的虚拟条件句。
这时，必须根据句子表述的意义以及某些特定的信息词（but for、otherwise等），结合if虚拟条件
句所列举的三种情况，来判断此时须采用的形式（参考if虚拟条件句表格的主句时态）。
（1）用but或but for引导含蓄条件句（but后跟从句，but for后跟短语。意为“要不是”）

例如： ①We would have invited you to the ball, but you were too busy.
要不是你太忙，我们会邀请你来参加舞会的。
相当于：If you had not been so busy, we would have invited you to the ball.
②But that Mary is in hospital, she would go abroad for her summer vacation.

要不是玛丽生病住院，她就出国度暑假了。
相当于If Mary weren’t in hospital, she would go abroad for her summer vacation.
